Abstract
This paper provides an overview of the research done in the anticorrosive coating of polymer composites mainly of Urushiol Formaldehyde Polymer (UFP). UFP which is obtained from the raw lacquer is used to do coating of products with admirable physicomechanical properties. The procedures to obtain graphene oxide (GO) and various other techniques to obtain graphene-based anticorrosive coatings have been discussed. The methods used for the preparation of GO/UFP composite coatings have also been discussed in detail. The effects of GO/UFP composites coating on being used with modified graphene oxide (MGO) and multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) in enhancing the physicomechanical properties, microstructure, and anti-corrosive properties have been highlighted.
