Polyaniline coatings: anionic membrane nature and bipolar structures for anticorrosion

Abstract
Electrochemical impedance spectroscope (EIS) results show that polyaniline coatings act as anionic membranes in anticorrosion. Accordingly, polyaniline bipolar coatings, which are the anionic membranes covered by a cationic membrane, act as “electrical barriers� to inhibit anodic reaction and maintain high resistance to ionic flow, thereby, providing excellent corrosion protection.
