Disabling the Sleep Function on Windows Machines
When running experiments in Framework for an extended period, it is highly recommended to disable the Sleep feature of the computer. If the computer goes into Sleep mode during an experiment communications with the potentiostat can be lost, possibly leading to lost data or cell damage. Take the following steps to disable this function. There are sections for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1.
Windows 7

From the desktop click the Start menu and select “Control Panel”
2. In the Control Panel menu, select “Hardware and Sound”
3. Under the “Power Options” heading, select “Change When the Computer Sleeps”
4. On the settings screen, change the “Put the Computer to sleep” setting to “Never”. Save the changes. Once completed the computer will no longer enter Sleep mode.
